Hello Everyone! Today I have a very special post to share with you. The polishes I will be swatching today will be benefiting OVC Pet Trust for companion pet cancer research. A portion of every sale of these special, limited edition polish will be donated to this cause. This is all a fundraising effort run by Crystal's Charity Lacquers. Please continue reading. Cupcake PolishCrystal has been involved in charity runs for a number of years.. She started April 2015 after contacting a handful of brands with the idea of creating custom polishes that would be given away to people who supported fundraising efforts through donations. The first two events were fundraising giveaways benefiting the SPCA and The Terry Fox Foundation for cancer research. The success of those giveaways was beyond anything she had hoped or dreamed and, admittedly, brought her to tears of gratitude more than once. After the giveaways wrapped, Crystal's Charity Lacquers wanted to keep momentum in the group going until the next giveaway (which will be this Spring!), so she launched the monthly sales, each benefiting a different charity. This month, She is fundraising for OVC Pet Trust for companion pet cancer research. A portion of every sale of these special, limited edition polish will be donated to this cause. To kick off 2016, Crystal's Charity Lacquers is welcoming two new brands to the family, Cupcake Polish and Top Shelf Lacquer. These special polish will launch at 5 pm PST/8 pm EST on Friday, January 15th and will be available through Sunday, February 7th. After that, both of these duos will be gone! Today I have swatches of the duo by Cupcake Polish Cupcake Polish: Best Fur-iends The first thing I have to say about this polish, is that it has a beautiful purple-pink flash because of these gorgeous ultra fine metallic-y glitters, but they were so hard to capture on camera. I took photos in all kinds of lighting and wasn't able to get them to show very well, but they are VERY obvious on the nail. It creates a beautiful sheen, The polish looks so different in different angles. The formula was smooth and very easy to apply with quick dry time. As you can see this is a light turquoise blue linear holo with that pink-purple flash to it. Shown is two coats plus top coat. On the last photo, you can see in the shadow of the two middle finger nails, there's that pink flash. Again, this shows up really well and beautifully in person. Cupcake Polish: Furever Loved ...and the first thing I have to say about this polish is, there is also a beautiful ultra fine, metallic gold glitter throughout this linear pink holo, and it is very sparkly in person. The formula was smooth and very easy to apply with quick dry time. The formula on this polish was slightly thicker and had more opacity in the first coat, but it still went on perfectly smooth. Shown is two coats plus top coat. I hope you enjoyed this duo, and if you purchase, know that it is going for a great cause.
Thanks for reading! <3 Mely
