Hello everyone! Today I have the Shimmer Me Box for the month of November. This is the month where, for me, is the best time of the year. The holidays are coming, the weather is crisp (just kidding I live in Texas... give it another month), and all the holiday food and decoration is everywhere. Okay, so for the deets: The Shimmer Me Box is a collaborative box that centers around polishes with a shimmer finish, between the polish brands: Native War Paints, Tux Polish, and Colors By Llarowe. Each box launch will be inspired by a theme, and will have one guest polish! All polishes are exclusive to this box. The November 2017 box, with the theme Thanksgiving Dinner, A Dish to Pass, will launch on 11/10/17 at 12 pm EDT through nativewarpaints.com. There will be a limited number available for immediate shipment at launch time. Once those sell out, the box will be available for pre-order for one week. Native War Paints: Saucy Minx This is described as a pink cream with orange shimmer, bronze and pink flakies. This is a pretty, muted rose pink base. The color is lovely. Shown is two coats plus top coat. The formula was not difficult to work with, but I did feel like I had to float my brush with each swipe, to help keep it from dragging. Once I got the hang of it, it was really smooth though. It's not a bad formula by any means. It also took a bit longer to dry than I am used to for Native War Paints nail polish. If I didn't wait at least 5 minutes, the new layer would slightly pull the one beneath at the tip of my nail. Or at least that was my experience. I don't think this is a bad thing, and again, it's not something I've ever encountered with Native War Paints formula, so when I noticed these small things, I consider that maybe the bottle could've been slightly open in transit? I really don't know... this is speculation. I just thought I'd mention it. Regardless... gorgeous polish! Colors By Llarowe: Stuffing, Or Dressing? This is described as a golden copper multichrome base that shifts from copper to brown to red with scattered holo with red, bronze and green flakes. Oh my goodness, is this frikin' gorgeous!!! I did 3 coats, but even though It was not fully opaque with two coats, I still loved how that looked as well. I mean, this is just so pretty, and feels like it glows. The formula was thin, and would run down the sides if I put too much, but it did not run down the stem of the brush, and was actually really easy to work with. This is such a must have polish! Tux Polish: Triple Berry Pie This is described as a blurple crelly base with flake glitters and pink shimmer. This polish is fully opaque in 3 coats and I kind of have a confession. This formula is on the thinner side and consistent with tux polish formulas, and I unfortunately only remembered to give this a good shake to bring up all the flakies until the last coat. Sorry :(. However I still think it's so pretty, and the formula was not difficult to work with. This color is a good option if you like to change it up and just add a pop of color every now and then during the holiday season. Nvr Enuff: Thanks For Dinner This is described as a dirty silver flakey polish with gunmetal flakes, gold flakes, purple/blue UCC flakes, a pink shimmer and holo! I'm going to be honest, I didn't know if I was going to love this as much when I saw it in the bottle. Let me tell you why. When there is such a variety of glitters going on, I just automatically get nervous about how I'll feel about it, because for some reason, I get really picky. I love that I was surprised at how this looks. Let me try to describe my observations. Yes, it's a dirty silver. But because of he different stuff going on, in different lightings, to me, it sometimes looks more coppery, sometimes more pewter, and sometimes like a rose gold. And it is also sparkly in different lightings when the light hits it just right. And when all fails and the lighting is just awful, it has a nice metallic almost foil like finish. This is just stunning. It is easily a polish that can be worn for daytime and nightime activities, for work, or to a holiday party!!!! Gah!! I love it! Well, I feel like I had a lot to say about this box!! Hope you've enjoyed reading. <3 Mely
