Hello fellow nail art lovers! My name is Amy McG and I have met you all here last year for Mely’s 12 Days of Christmas Challenge. I blog about indie polish and nail art at PolishEtc.com and on Instagram as my alter ego McPolish. I love doing nail art and was honored that Mely asked me to join her blog again this year for the #12DOCC! I wanted to do presents this year. I have been wanting to use striping tape on my nails for ever and thought that pretty wrapped Christmas presents was the perfect way to do that. I have used striping tape to create nail art designs before, but had never used it on my actual nails for a mani. So silly of me! To create this wrapped present look, I first started out with a base of Zoya “Teigen.” This is a super shimmery berry red color with a strong gold glass fleck running throughout. I then stamped over with in gold with an image from the Pueen SE01A plate that looks like a floral mermaid scale. After that had dried, I added some gold striping tape in a criss cross pattern. I topped it all off with a glossy top coat and added little yellow/gold floral studs to act like a bow. You can get striping tape and wheels of plastic studs from anywhere. They carry them at Sally’s Beauty Supply and any online store that sells nail art items. I hope you enjoyed this holiday nail art look! If you recreate this present mani, make sure you tag me on Instagram so I can see it. Be sure to use Mely’s tag of #12DOCC when you follow the prompt for any of your own Christmas manicures so everyone can see your beautiful creations!
Thanks! Amy McG aka McPolish
