Hey all! I'm Katharina and, usually, I hang around on IG as cottonconey. I'm so thrilled to have been invited by Mely to guest post today for her 12 Days of Christmas Challenge. I was shocked, when she asked me, and I still feel like a little kid playing with the big girls, haha. And, also, it's my first blog post ever! So exciting! My theme is 'Christmas tree' and if you know me, I love a good pattern. So I went off to my fave source for inspiration and found this one: Click here for image from shutterstock.com Let me share my secret with you! If you're ever lacking inspiration, just go to one of the many stock photo websites (like shutterstock.com) and search for 'your word' + seamless. It's an endless source for nail art! I started with my favorite white polish, OPI Alpine Snow, as my base. It makes the colors pop (and originally I wanted some parts to stay white). Then I added thin stripes of various green, red, orange, pink and beige acrylic paint with my detailed brush and protected it with top coat. I loved the look of just the stripes already, so here's a bonus pic for you: Then I painted tiny Christmas trees with white acrylic paint and filled in empty spaces with dots. As usual, I finished everything with matte top coat. I love that stuff!
I hope you all enjoyed it and have a lovely holiday season! Big thanks to Mely for having me! I couldn't be more flattered! -Katharina Instagram: @cottonconey
