Hello Everyone! I am so excited for today's post! Sara from Cupcake Polish will be releasing her Spring 2015 collection "In Bloom" very soon. This post is heavily loaded with pictures, plus some super simple nail art ideas. Be sure to check them all out! This collection is called "In Bloom" and was inspired by nature. It consists of 9 cream polishes with linear holographic glitter, and gold metallic dust shimmer. It launches April at 11:00 am US Central time. Polishes are sold individually, and will be available as a set for a discounted price for the first 24 hours.Cupcake Polish ships worldwide. I love that I can speak of the collection as a whole as far as formula, application, etc. and so forth. The following is in reference to the whole collection: Firstly, application was very smooth. Self leveling was great. Dry time is fast. Each polish required only 2 coats for full opacity. Each swatch is 2 coats plus top coat. There were no issues noted with application. I noted that there is gold dust shimmer in all of the colors. It's a very cool toned gold, almost silvery, that gives it a nice reflect. (I call it dust shimmer because it's teeny tiny, but still there, and gives it a shimmer. It gives all of the colors depth and different tones under different lighting). I love the range of colors, and I think there are a few in here that are very unique, and I have surely fallen in love with. First up, I have "Back to the Fuchsia" a beautiful pale pink with some fuchsia undertones. This is such a pretty pink for every day wear! So gorgeous. Nail Art- One quick way to create a beautiful, detailed look without spending too much time is by stamping! For this look, I used stamping plate BP-54 from Born Pretty Store (Item #18797). Once you have figured out which polishes are good for stamping, you have your stamper and scraper ready to go, and a willingness to be steady and patient, stamping can be quite quick and fun. Click on any photo to enlarge :) Next up, is "A Budding Romance" which happens to be my favorite from the collection! The color of this polish is so rich and beautiful. It reminds me of hibiscus flowers. This color is so unique to me, as I have nothing like it in my current collection. As I was removing this polish, I did notice a small amount of staining in my nails. The stains were minor and were gone by the next day from just regular day to day hand washing activities. The staining did not bother me in the least, and I still fell in love with this color! It is still my favorite from the collection. (note- this was the only polish from the collection that stained). Nail Art- I added some different sized black stones from Born Pretty Store (Item # 12412), and voila... you're ready to go. I REALLY love this look. The color looks brighter in the nail art photo due to the camera focusing and adjusting to the black stones. Next I have "Bloom Bloom Room" A supper fun tangerine color! This color popped nicely and had some copper undertones to it against my skin tone. Nail Art- I randomly applied thinned out red, yellow, and orange polish with a small brush for a watercolor effect, then added gold studs. Next I have "Daisy in Love" a beautiful muted yellow. This is another unique color to me, as I don't own any yellow polishes in this tone. I didn't think I would like how this would look against my skin tone, so I was pleasantly surprised as I applied it on my nails. I think this is in the mustard family, and is also a color I would probably wear for Fall as well. Nail Art - Super easy drippy nails using a dotting tool, and "Plant Parenthood" from this collection. Next I have "Instant Re-Leaf" a super fun and bright green. I love that this color is like a mix between lime green, apple green, and avocado green, but with a pop to it. Does that even make sense? (hehe) It's so pretty! I love it! Nail Art- Cherry print using a small dotting tool, a detail brush, and black and red acrylic paints. If you are worried that this print is too small, don't worry... you can always make your cherries bigger, or only do a couple on an accent nail :) Next up is "What in Carnation," another of my favorites! This color is so gorgeous and unique! It's such a lovely, calming, yet fun polish. I don't know how to put this color into words, other than... "I want to go on a beach vacation to the most crystal clear waters around." Nail Art- I used some polish and dotting tools for the dots, and used polish and detail brush for the peacock feather. When drawing the feather, remember it doesn't have to be perfect. Just have fun! Next I have "Plant Parenthood" a beautiful muted blue that reminds me of blueberries, bluebonnets, and rainy days (all things I love). Nail Art- Using a liner brush, I added a gradient of blue acrylic paints in a series of lines and dots. Remember, it's okay if they're not perfect :) Next I have "Lilac You Mean It" which is a soft purple polish with some grey undertones. this was a hard color to capture. The color is closer to what you see in the bottle, than my nails. I feel like there's a bit too much blue undertone in my photos. Nail Art - Dots created using a dotting tool and white acrylic paint. Roses made with acrylic paints and detail brush. Lastly, I have "KaBloom", a gunmetal holo. I love that this dark color is part of the collection. It's so chic and you can definitely rock some looks with this. This polish is also the one where the holo glitter shone the brightest. Nail Art - simple v-shaped stripes with white acrylic paint, filled in with silver acrylic paint using a liner brush. I had so much fun working on these polishes and creating some nail art manis. You are too sweet! And I promise they're not the same, nor perfect! I can't stand how my skin color looks sooo different in each phtot! But my focus is always for the polish color itself to be accurate, opposed to my skin tone (hehe). I have been trying to be better at working the manual settings of my camera... one bit at a time!

This review of the Cupcake Polish "In Bloom" collection is incredibly helpful for anyone considering purchasing the polishes. The photos and swatches are clear and showcase the colors beautifully. It's great to know that the application was smooth and self-leveling, and that each polish only required 2 coats for full opacity. The addition of gold dust shimmer in each color is also a nice touch. Overall, a fantastic review!
