Hello Friends!! Today I have a review of the exclusive, and limited, Shimmer Me Box for July 2017, which was inspired by the theme "Heat Wave." Okay, so for the deets: The Shimmer Me Box is a collaborative box that centers around polishes with a shimmer finish, between the polish brands: Native War Paints, Tux Polish, and Colors By Llarowe. Each box launch will be inspired by a theme, and will have one guest polish! All polishes are exclusive to this box. The July 2017 box, with the theme Heat Wave, will launch on 7/7/17 at 12 pm EDT through nativewarpaints.com, and will be available for only $36.00. There will be a limited number available for immediate shipment at launch time. Once those sell out, the box will be available for pre-order for one week. Native War Paints: It's Getting Hot in Here A red with coral undertones cream loaded with copper shimmer and micro holographic flakies. This polish is so gorgeous. Formula was smooth and easy to apply. No issues with dry time or self-leveling noted. Full opacity achieved with two coats. Shown is 2 coats plus top coat. Colors By Llarowe: Some Like it Hot Super bright hot pink with blue shimmer. THIS POLISH!!! SO gorgeous. It's so bright. and the subtle blue shimmer particles are so small that it really gives it dimension and gives it different levels of brightness at different angles. This polish dries matte. Formula was smooth and easy to apply. No issues with dry time or self-leveling noted. Full opacity achieved with two coats. Shown is 2 coats plus top coat. Tux Polish: Take Me to the Water A burnt orange with blue/pink shimmer and scattered micro holographic glitter. Formula was smooth and easy to apply. No issues with dry time or self-leveling noted. This did have the slightest bit of texture with the micro glitter, but that went away with top coat. Full opacity achieved with two coats. Shown is 2 coats plus top coat. *Guest Polish Glisten & Glow: Life's a Beach, When You're a Peach For the guest polish in this box, we have a light peach with subtle linear holo with pink to blue shifting shimmers and peach micro flakes. This is so pretty, and the peach flakes give it such a gorgeous shimmery sparkle. The undertones to this polish are very close to my skin tone! So, for me, this polish was thicker than the rest of the collection. I mean, I feel strange saying that because this collection is not all one maker/brand, but it is not thick where it is gummy or tacky, just thicker consistency. I feel if you work it too much you may get bald spots, so I found I had to work quick. It isn't a polish that self-levels in my opinion, it kind of just stayed where I put it. However formula was still smooth and was not difficult to work with. Polish was fully opaque in 2 coats. Shown is 2 coats plus top coat. Hope you enjoyed his exclusive look at The Shimmer Box for July. Thanks for reading! <3 Mely
