Hello, all! I'm Lindsey from Wondrously Polished and I'm so excited to be guest posting for Mely today! I am always blown away by the skill and creativity that I see in Mely's manicures so I'm honored to be included for this Christmas nail art challenge! My challenge was to be inspired by a Christmas Song. While I love quite a few different Christmas songs, one of my favorites is 'White Christmas', made famous by Bing Crosby (though I love the Frank Sinatra version!). This song always gets me in the mood for this time of year and takes my mind to a quintessential winter evening. With that in mind, I wanted to create my perfect winter evening on my nails. For this look, I started with a base of OPI's Incognito in Sausalito and painted all the details in with with acrylic paints. I started by painting the snow covered ground and the green/black base for the pine trees with my trimmed down detail brush. Next came the cozy cabin (can't forget the wreath on the door or the smoke coming from the chimney!) and the snow covered trees. I've always loved the idea of a decked out Christmas tree outside covered in a dusting of snow so I added one of those. Finally, I lightly sponged on some white over the whole look to give it the appearance of a light snow store. As someone that has lived in sunny California my whole life, I love the idea of a white Christmas so I think that's why I love this song so much. I quite like how this mani turned out but I'd love to hear what you all think...or hear what your favorite Christmas song is! Hopefully this mani helped get you in the Christmas (or winter) spirit! Once again, a huge thank you to Mely for having me! Happy Polishing!
Xo, Lindsey
